Diploma in Mechatronics *

The word mechatronics is composed of “mecha” from mechanism and the “tronics” from electronics. It is the synergistic integration of mechanical engineering, with electronics and intelligent computer control in the design and manufacturing of industrial products and processes. Mechatronics generally involves (i) implementing electronics control in a mechanical system (ii) enhancing existing mechanical design with intelligent control and (iii) replacing mechanical component with an electronic solution. This course will cover all aspects related with mechatronics such as sensors and transducers, actuators and mechanisms, signal conditioning, microprocessors and microcontrollers, modeling & system response and design and mechatronics.

Vision

To be the most sought after department of Mechatronics Engineering of AIARKP that others would wish to emulate.

Mission

Creating Exuberant Mechatronics Engineering Professionals.

From HOD's Desk

Mr. Adnan Shaikh

Welcome to the department of Mechatronics Engineering at A R Kalsekar Polytechnic Panvel. The mission of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering is to provide value education and motivate young professionals in building cognitive characteristics, expression and cultivate the engineers with recent trends in technology, prepare emerging engineers with concept oriented subject knowledge supplemented with practical orientation to face the challenges of modern world.

Key Features of Mechatronics

  • The students of mechatronics engineering are exposed to various courses designed to impart maximum practical based knowledge to master these budding engineers to work under challenging and dynamic environment.
  • The students are trained on latest advances in technologies like embedded systems, Industrial Pneumatic and Hydraulics, PLC/ SCADA. CAD/CAM, computer integrated manufacturing system, AC/DC Drives, Drones, 3D Printers, CNC Machines, Electric Vehicles, Future industries, Consumer products etc.

Key Features

Distinguished Alumni

Mission Elements

    • To implement the outcome based education (OBE) model for ensuring students learn what we teach.

    • To provide relevant facility, machinery, equipment, faculty, atmosphere and ambience that lead to quality mechanical engineering education.

    • To regularly organize skill and personality development programs that would make every students a complete human resource preferred by industry and the society at large.
    • To promote innovations, risk taking, entrepreneurship and higher education.

    • To encourage up- gradation of faculty qualifications and self-development leading to innovative teaching skills, research and practice.
    • To motivate and encourage the students for employment, entrepreneurship and higher studies.
    • To create an environment and reward mechanism for competition and lifelong learning.

About Mechatronics Engineering

Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, a three year programme divided into six semesters, recently added to the existing disciplines in the academic year 2021 -22 with a batch of 60 students. Currently department is having 6 fully equipped different labs to cater the learning requirements of the students
